In my many years of making art, at various points I have been a sculptor, printmaker, collage artist, painter, muralist, draftsman, and puppeteer, sometimes all of these things at once.

The common theme throughout my work is repurposing fragments of the physical world, reinvented with humor and whimsical spirit. I am attracted to antique objects, weathered and worn debris, and the forgotten and discarded remains of our consumer culture, interwoven with bits and pieces of the natural world. I use these found objects to create two- and three-dimensional works that invite the viewer to see familiar materials in new and unexpected ways.

In defiance of our increasingly digital and disconnected world, my works emphasize collaboration and community and the physical texture, weight, and presence of the materials used.
